Design & Interaction Mechanism

The installation consists of a dual-environment setup, representing both urban and natural spaces. Floating lights, translucent city silhouettes, and laser-engraved animal figures create a surreal, immersive experience. The project utilizes infrared sensors to react to human presence:

When no humans are nearby → The animal silhouettes are illuminated, symbolizing their natural, undisturbed existence.

When humans approach → The city lights intensify, while the animal figures fade into darkness, representing how urbanization and light pollution drive wildlife into retreat.

This dynamic shift simulates the real-life consequences of human activity, creating a thought-provoking contrast between nature and artificial urbanization.
